In the novel Room something happened, something really big. They just got out of the room, and this is a really big change for Jack. He is not quite sure what to think of this new change. He wants to go back the room with their old bed and stuff. He is kind of scared of everything in the outside world. There are a lot of new faces and new noises too. He feels like time has changed too his ma is always telling the hurry up, slow down, and wait. He is not use to all of these new things, and he just wants to back room to sleep so he can sleep with his ma. But as time goes on I think is starting to get use to all these new things and new people. He stills does not like being a way from his mom. He has never been away from his mom; he has always been in the same room as her. I think this might cause some problems later on when he goes to school or his mom gets a job. So far he has tried a lot of new things like food and new drinks that he is not quite sure what they are called. He even has his own toys now that the people in the outside world has given him. These toys and things have made him feel a little bit better about all these new changes, but what will happen when they live this new room that they are staying in?

     I have been reading the book Room. I think it is a very good book, that everyone should read. I have three different people that want to read this book after me. I do not have a whole lot to say this time, because I have been busy this whole entire week, with work and homework. I really do want to finish reading this book soon, so I know how this book ends. This book makes you think a lot about how lucky we all are to have the things we have. It also makes me wonder would I do the things that poor little boy named Jack had to do. I really do not want to say to much, so that others can read this book, without the book being ruined. Also I have been reading this book called Paper Towns, which is another good book. This book is about a girl and a boy, and they are neighbors. They also go to the same school too. This girl she believes that the town they live in is just full of fake people, with their fake house, and their fake lives. In the book she ends up running away, so the boy end finds clues that this girl leaves for him to find. He believes these clues will lend him to her, but the question is will it, will he just find more clues. I won't till you where he finds her, or why she really runs away. This book is very good, and this is another book everyone should read.

Jack

The main character Jack I think does not understand what is really going on in the world. But there is nothing wrong with that, I would give Jack praise. As the book goes on he starts understanding what is really going on, or tries to understand to his best ability, and knows that they have to break free from that situation. Jack is a very brave little boy who loves his mom very much. He tries very hard to help his mom, out of fear that she might get hurt, but at the same time he is afraid. He does not know what to expect from the real world, and even though he wants his mom to come with him he knows that she cannot.  He wonders what the real world is like, and if his mom is lying about it. He is not sure what to do, and wishes he could wait to break free, but knows that they cannot. If they wait too long who knows what could happen. He just turned five why can’t they just wait till he his six and stronger. He wonders this, but also knows the answer to the question, but does not fully understand at the same time. He decides to be brave for his momma, because he will be the hero that saves his mom from the big mean man. This is why he deserves praise, since this has to be hard for him to do at such a young age.

Hawaii Reading

            So I just got back from Hawaii it was so much fun, I learned to stand up paddle board and I was very good at it, I also got to swim with wild dolphins, but the problem with going to Hawaii is the very long flight so I got to read a lot. I started reading Room. That book kind of scares me, it makes me think about what if that happened to me what would I do and I have no clue what I would. I would be at lost of how to handle myself and how I stay strong. Reading about her teeth made me feel sick to my stomach. This book makes me realize how lucky I am since I have all the things I could need and more, but they are living with the basic they have to portion everything they have. Most people these days do not even know how to portion their food and things. I do know if I could do what she is doing, taking care Jack while being so strong. I would break down I would not be able to do that. That poor kid does not even understand that some of the things on Tv are real that would be so hard to make someone understand something they have never seen. Room creeps me out, but I want everyone to read this book it is very hard to put down, even when it creeps me out a lot. I still have to sit and read Room.

So yesterday I was reading and forgot to do my blog last night I got sucked into the book. I have a few pages left and then I am done I cannot wait to finish it. I cannot believe what her parents did to her, and I cannot believe what Pete did to Zach. But at the same time I feel bad for him; he seems like a baby almost and does not understand what he did. I do not know what I would if I was Micah shoes. I also think it is cool that Micah is a wolf and now I believe she is at first I could not believe what she was saying I thought she was crazy or something. I am starting to understand why she lies now though, it seems like her parents find her as a problem more so then a blessing, which would be hard to know that your parents are lying to you every day, and then they just leave you without saying goodbye. I cannot blame Micah for being the way she is, she makes things up, and does care but does not at the same time I am not surprised at all. I feel so bad for that would hard for your parents to love someone more then you and think that they wished that you were the one that died and not the other person. I hope everything goes will for Micah that she goes to school and betters herself.

The title of the novel is Lair. The title gives you hints at what the novel could be about. With this title it gives you a hint that the novel is about a person who lies but you do not realize how much Micah actually lies. At the begin of the book she tells you that she is going to tell you the truth but it is hard to believe that since in the entire book she lies. She lies about everything, makes it sound like she is telling you the truth, but she is not or at least not the whole truth. But as I read on she tells you something so unbelievable and expects you to believe that it is the truth, but I cannot believe that it is the truth. It is so unreal that I do not know what to think she lies about everything why not this too. It makes you wonder though if it is the truth and she lies so much just to hide it from everyone else. It she tells so many outrages lie that if they find this out and it this secret spreads then no one will believe her because she always lies, so why would this be any truer than anything else that comes out of her mouth? This title I would have to say really fits the book like a glove. Since all she does is lie and you do not know what to believe in the whole book.

I have been reading the book Lair, which I would have to say, is very interesting. This book makes me think about people, and how others lie. I have always been someone that believe the best in people, and never think otherwise, or that they could be lying, but reading this makes me think about how easy it is to lie, and why they do it. The main character has to be hiding something, because I cannot think of any other reason why she would lie. I believe this because it is always easier to lie then to tell the truth, so I wonder what she is hiding. Did she do something that she does not want others to know, or does she know what happened to Zach, and is afraid to tell someone? I think these are all very good things to think about, I want to keep reading on in this book, but I do not want to read too far ahead, because I am horrible at keeping it to myself. I would want to tell everyone or give hints on what happens next, so I have to be careful. But I do wonder if I know anyone like her and I just did not realize it, or if I am going to meet someone like her, and what would I do if I did. It is all stuff that I think about. I do not think she would make a very good friend without knowing her past, so that you can understand her and why she does that.

Liar

“I will tell you my story and I will tell it straight. No lies, no omissions”, said Micah the main character. This sentence is what really starts the book off, since it is on the first page, which tells you right away that she lies all the time, it comes to her so easy. She lies, but you find that out, she lets everyone believe she is a boy for example. Micah wants to turn a new leaf and change things she wants to start telling the truth which from my understanding is what the novel is about. The novel is about her past and how she lied, and the present, and how she is telling the readers the truth of what happened. She is telling the whole truth and nothing more threw the entire novel. It begins with her in the present, and how people feel about her, and how they all say she always lies, they all know it. So now she needs to prove to everyone that she wants to start telling the truth. From my point of view she makes a promise to herself that she will not lie in the story. She will tell the truth and nothing more or nothing less too. Telling the truth is what she promises in that sentence that is what the whole novel is about. That sentence is what embodies the entire novel. No lies, no omissions, so in this novel it will be the truth about Micah, and nothing less.

Hush Hush

I’m going to write about “Hush Hush” by Becca Fitzpatrick which is the book I am reading right now outside of school. This book is amazing, and will have you on the edge of your sit.  This girl the main character Nora thinks she is going crazy, she keeps seeing things happen.  Then they disappear like nothing happen, besides the fact that she can remember the whole thing and it scares her. She doesn’t know what to do she believes that someone is after her.  Nora and her friend Vee narrow it down to two guys from school Patch and Elliot. In the novel without giving the story away you find you out interesting informant about both Patch and Elliot that will you surprise everyone reading the novel.  One of the secrets the will scare you just reading about it, and will make you wonder if it is even true.  I am having a hard time putting this novel down, because I just need to know what is going to happen next. It makes me happy yet scared for Nora at the same time, and if I finish this novel before Wednesday I just might have a new favorite novel. How I found out about this novel is from my best friend who recommended this novel to me, and because of her I now am going to have to order the second novel to the series. Anyone who loves a good love story along with a little bit of a mystery would love this book, and I would recommended it to them.

Hello my name is Liz. I went to Metamora high school for my senior year, after that I went to Regency Beauty Institute, where I graduated from. Right now I am having a hard time finding a job, so here I am at ICC trying to better myself so I can find a job. Some of my favorite things to do are to read books, hang out with my friends, and to belly dance. I am not very good at belly dancing, but it is so much fun, and recommends it to everyone who is willing to try something new. I love my coffee, and drink it every morning.
